Notifications

This page configures how your organization receives alerts from QMonitor. Use these settings to direct operational notifications to the right channels and reduce noise by choosing the preferred delivery methods.

Supported notification channels

  • Email: enter one or more email addresses to receive alerts for the organization. We recommend using a mailing list or group alias rather than individual addresses so notifications reach the right team without relying on a single person.

    • Note: Email can generate high volume and is not recommended for urgent operational alerts; use it primarily for summaries or low-severity items.
  • Teams: enter the worflow URL for a Microsoft Teams channel (a Teams workflow or connector URL). This posts notifications directly into a Teams channel and is the recommended option for real-time operational alerts.

    • Ask your Teams administrator if you need help creating a channel workflow or determining the correct URL format.

Configuration and tips

  • Set notification preferences per policy severity so only important events generate immediate alerts while lower-severity findings are batched or routed to quieter channels.
  • Test each configured endpoint after saving to confirm delivery.
  • Use mailing lists and dedicated channels to ensure alerts reach on-call staff and to avoid overloading personal inboxes.

Future channels

  • Additional notification integrations (Slack, webhooks with custom payloads, SMS, etc.) are under development and will be added in future releases.
